Coach Stores: Landmark Flagships, Full-Price Boutiques and What to Expect
Going by Tapestry’s annual report, Coach was running 973 directly operated stores as its 2026 fiscal year drew to a close on 27 June 2026. Within that figure, 336 sit in North America and 637 are in international markets. There is also a figure of about 1,299 stores, yet that number covers all of Tapestry’s brands, not Coach on its own. Tapestry has reportedly said it plans around 50 net new Coach stores in fiscal 2027, with roughly three quarters of them outside North America. Flagship Coach House sites, standard full-price boutiques, concessions inside department stores and Coach Outlet stores together make up the network. Someone looking for a coach store may therefore come across formats as different as a multi-floor flagship and a unit in an outlet village. Taking it city by city, this guide covers the most thoroughly documented locations and flags any case where a store’s current status remains to be checked.

| Tokyo, Ginza | Flagship store | Reported to have reopened in December 2025 | First Japanese flagship opened in 2002 |

New York and the Fifth Avenue Coach House
Coach was founded in New York in 1941, and its home city holds its best-known flagship. Unveiled in the fall of 2016, the Coach House at 685 Fifth Avenue was timed for the brand’s 75th anniversary. Created with William Sofield’s Studio Sofield, it was reported to span about 20,000 square feet over three floors. That address is not a long-term home, however, because Coach has reportedly leased about 13,200 square feet at 645 Fifth Avenue for a new Coach House. The planned move is aimed for 2027, and David Yurman is reported to have taken a lease on the 685 Fifth Avenue space, with an opening expected in early 2029. Use Coach’s store locator before any special trip, as it has not been confirmed whether the current store is still trading on a given day. coach crossbody bag Also on the locator is a Coach store at 20 Hudson Yards, near Tapestry’s headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards.
London: Coach House on Regent Street
Launched in 2016 as a global concept store, London’s Coach House is found at 200–206 Regent Street. It was also developed with Studio Sofield, which gives it a clear kinship with the New York flagship. Coverage at the time described a Craftsmanship Bar for monogramming and personalised touches. A Made to Order bar for the Rogue bag was also reported, and made-to-order Rogue pieces reportedly require around 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks with exotic skins. Some writers have reported the wrong opening year as one retail-district listing carries a much later page date. On its August 2026 earnings call, Tapestry said that the UK, plus some wholesale business, is the only part of Europe where Coach has material penetration, as a published transcript records. Before you go, find out which services are currently offered if you are planning a personalisation appointment.
Tokyo and Ginza
Tokyo’s Ginza district houses Coach’s flagship in Japan. The store, renewed in 2015, traces its origins to the first Japanese flagship, which opened there in 2002. Based on reports of the relaunch, it reopened on 19 December 2025 following a redesign by the studio CURIOSITY. When it comes to services, Japan counts as well: select Japanese stores reportedly take part in the Coach (Re)Loved trade-in exchange. That scheme reportedly welcomes gently worn all-leather retail bags while ruling out outlet items and canvas pieces. Since it was not confirmed which Japanese stores take part, ask the store before bringing a bag along. As with every flagship in this guide, opening hours and services are best checked shortly before a visit.
Hong Kong, Chongqing and an Old Shanghai Record in Greater China
Records for Coach’s large stores in Greater China are thinner than those for New York or London. Going by a record that is now dated, a flagship of about 7,000 square feet opened on Huai Hai Middle Road in Shanghai in April 2010. It was not possible to verify its current status, so treat the Shanghai store as unconfirmed rather than open today. Coach has also been reported to run a global flagship in Hong Kong and a two-storey glass flagship in Chongqing. The opening dates of those two stores also remain unverified. International stores represent 637 of Coach’s 973 directly operated stores, but the annual report figure is not a city-by-city breakdown. When planning a visit, use Coach’s local store locator rather than older press coverage.
Boutiques and Concessions in Britain
Coach’s UK store locator also points to full-price stores away from Regent Street, with branches at Westfield London in White City and at Westfield Stratford City. Additional London locations include St Pancras and the Promenade Level at Canary Wharf. Away from London, the documented full-price store sits at the Bullring in Birmingham. Coach is also present in concessions inside Harrods in Knightsbridge and Selfridges on Oxford Street, where a Coach Playground space has been promoted. Do not assume a local branch exists in cities such as Manchester or Edinburgh without checking, because no stores there were confirmed. For anyone searching coach uk locations, this list includes the documented full-price options at the time of writing. Coach’s UK site gives each listed store its own page, which makes it the most reliable place to confirm hours and services.
Shopping at Coach Outlet Stores
Coach Outlet stores are part of Coach’s own network, not independent discounters, and Coach labels them as outlets in its store locator. They usually are found in outlet centres, and Coach has reportedly opened Coach Coffee Shop concepts at Jersey Gardens and Woodbury Common in the United States. Bicester Village, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Ashford Designer Outlet are confirmed Coach Outlet locations in Britain. York Designer Outlet is less certain: a store there has been reported but not confirmed, so check before making the trip. Some of the stock in outlet stores is made for the outlet channel, yet today’s mix is unknown, since the only share figure found, around 85%, goes back to 2014. Assortments also feature earlier-season styles and, under the reported “One Coach” strategy, some full-price collection product. Ahead of a coach outlet trip, check current offers first: promotions change, and coupon-site sale calendars could not be confirmed.
Inside a Coach Store: What to Expect
Shoes, clothing and small leather goods are shown next to the current handbag range at a full-price coach store, where handbags take centre stage. The Tabby launched in 2019, the Brooklyn debuted in August 2024 and the Empire Carryall was released in February 2025, and all three count among the recognisable bag families in 2026. Recorded US prices put a Tabby 26 at $475 and an Empire Carryall 34 at $450, but these are market observations rather than an official price list. Some stores also join the (Re)Loved trade-in, which runs in North America retail stores plus select UK and Japan stores. Coach Insider, the no-cost loyalty programme, reportedly covers both Coach and Coach Outlet, so one membership works across both formats. Because Coach says it does not authenticate merchandise, a receipt from a Coach store is useful proof of where a coach bag came from. Stuart Vevers, whose appointment was announced in June 2013, is still Creative Director in 2026 and oversees the creative direction.
How to Plan a Visit
Wasted journeys can be avoided with a little preparation, particularly while the New York flagship is preparing for its planned move. Start with Coach’s store locator for the country you are visiting, since it distinguishes full-price stores from Coach Outlet locations. Make sure your bag is all leather rather than canvas, and that the specific store takes part, when you are after a trade-in. It makes sense to ask beforehand whether the service is running if you are after personalisation or made-to-order work. Visitors to Britain should be aware that tax-free shopping for tourists in Great Britain ended on 1 January 2021, so there is no VAT refund to plan around. Every receipt shows where a bag was bought should questions arise later, so hold on to all of them. Check current promotions before a long journey to an outlet centre, because offers change frequently.
- On the day you travel, consult the store locator.
- Verify trade-in participation and eligibility.
- Reserve personalisation services in advance.
- Hold on to receipts for every purchase.
